Our Mares Page 2
Quality of both sire and dam are key factors in producing quality foals.
Temperament is a huge issue for us. No matter what a foal's future might hold, an even temperament and a willing nature are
so important. We don't keep bad tempered horses for breeding no matter how nice they look or what is on their papers!
CATALENA BLUE BAR AQHA REG: 4104575 (2001)
This gorgeous blue roan mare is a great-granddaughter of the legendary Doc O'Lena.
Doc O'Lena's name is right on her papers. My husband has ridden her in the Colorado
mountains, and helped work cattle in Montana, since he broke her in several years ago.
See the Our Mares 3 page for more photos of this mare.
ABSOLUTE MISCHIEF AQHA REG: 4775492 (2005)
"Rosie" is a sorrel mare with a delightful disposition. We use
her to give pony rides at the local Plagman Barn Show days
near Guttenberg, Iowa. Photo coming soon!
Smokey Miss Rio (Appendix Registered AQHA and
Foundation Registered with the FQHR.)
We extend our thanks to Jessica of Indiana
for allowing us to bring Smokey Miss Rio into
our breeding program. This gorgeous,
double registered bay mare has suffered
terrible misfortune in her five years of life.
Thanks to Jessica's devotion and dedication,
Missie looks like this now. She will be bred to
Shy But Whatever, our AQHA perlino stallion
for the 2010 breeding season.
